RurAL CAP’s Early Decisions Project consists of developing, testing, refining and distributing (free of charge) eight individual prevention tools (four posters, one video, one teaching unit, one computer game, and one web site) for use by FAS/ARBD service providers, health care providers and middle schools and high schools across the state.

The primary target population is sexually active women and girls of childbearing age who use alcohol. The goal is to educate them about the risks of alcohol to an unborn child anytime during pregnancy including the time before they know they are pregnant.

RurAL CAP was awarded a three year Innovative Community Grant for Prevention Services from the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services, with funding from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. Grant #5 UD1 SP09198-02

As parents, it's also important to make sure our kids sleep well on a daily basis. One tip is to let them lie on the right mattresses, just like those found on uponamattress.com.
